What do you think about the Beucht MArlin revolution speargun? And do think the C4 Wahoo Flaps are good?

Hi

i dont think that no one in finland has those in use.
C4 mustang plastic... no no..

C4 flap and falcon is in use.
i say that those ones is guite similar fins (i have both of those)

but its not at all same that mustang wahoo. so...

but if i compare c4 flap/falcon to other ones kinf of, mayby c4 is little bit stiffer.
i´m very satisfied to c4 flap stiffnes is 30 (medium)
Width is OK, its 1 to 2 cm less thin, if compare to "normal" fins.

well but i think we talk now differents fins, ;)

The C4 Wahoo plastic blade is designed to obtain the necessary curve
and parabolic flex in the blade. Of all the possible parabolic curves the most ideal
one is the one water pressure places on fish.
The body of a fish tapers toward the tail where the most flex occurs and this
is a key concept in fins as well.
The fin blades gradually flex more toward the tips of the fins starting with
the stiffest section at the foot. A blade which flexes visibly at the foot-pocket will not
transmit the energy efficiently through the fin stroke.
The Wahoo fin blades extend all the way to the heel therefore transferring
the maximum amount of energy.In the Wahoo a Flap shape patented by C4 allows
for the best parabolic curve flex withminor absorption of energy and a more efficient release
of water stream from the blade (see C4 Flap). The excellent results of the C4 blades since 1990
guarantee the highest performance of our products
and affirm the correct choice of technical choices employed in our production.

Water Rails - Water rails invented by C4 in 1994 serve the function of
channeling water over the blade. They allow for a more stable kick stroke as the
fin moves as if its riding on two railroad ties. In standard freediving application where the
performance is tested in a controlled environmentsuch as a class and a pool, doing a strait
underwater swim on the bottom of the pool withconstant unchanging loads, performance
is achieved with a combination of minimum waste
of energy and maximum speed.

Spearfishing applications are different where ease and maneuverability
and variable load effortand sudden movements are the norm. Low water rails
displace less water making these movementseasier compared to high water rails which are
better suited for standard frediving applications.

The parabolic shape of the Water Rails in the Wahoo best lend themselves
to a wide variety offreediving and spearfishing applications. The Wahoo blade
is the only Freediving and Spearfishingplastic blade on the market to include side rails for a
competitively priced high end freediving fin.

The least amount of hydrodynamic resistance occurs when the
diver is in a vertical position with the head toward the surface and the fins fully
extended downward which has in one axisall the joints of rotation: the butt, knees, calves,
metatarsal and fin blades. This can only occuren the fin blade is placed under the metatarsal
like the C4 Wahoo blades with a steep angle,more than 23 degrees in the Wahoo. Vice versa,
with traditional foot-pockets with a lesser inclination a dis-alignment is created in
comparison to the body of the diver. This will force the diver to incline their back during
the kick stroke in order to swim in a strait line. When the alignment of the blades compared
to the diver is significant damage can occur
to the knee joints and calves. With the C4 Wahoo blades this does not occur,
ergonomics are at the highest level.


· C4 Wahoo foot-pockets are produced conferring the hydrodynamic needs, for one because
they have an enclosed and flared shape of the foot-pocket and also because of the absence
of foot-pocket ribs. The absence of foot-pocket ribs has sensibly reduced the front section
of the foot pocket thereby reducing hydrodynamic resistance.
